Merry Christmas, everybody!
With just a week to go until 2023, this will be the final bracket projection of 2022. Most tournament-level teams are wrapping up their non-conference slates and preparing to dive into conference play at the turn of the new year.
Meanwhile, the NET rankings and résumé numbers are still fairly fresh and unformed, meaning this bracket is once again mostly based on simple things such as wins and losses, quality of wins, predictive metric rankings, etc. Once things start to clear up résumé-wise in January, then these brackets will get a little more scientific.
Overall, there aren’t too many changes from the last bracket—just a bit of seed shuffling and a few new at-larges faces. But with the college basketball slate looking fairly limited due to the holidays, we’ve got to have our hoops fix somehow!
