The greatest month of the year. The time of year when thousands of college basketball games played over the past four months deliver the payoff. Conference tournaments. Selection Sunday. March Madness. We’ve made it.
Only 12 days remain until we figure out which 68 teams are going to play in the greatest postseason of all, meaning we’re going to be doing a lot of learning over the next two weeks. Some teams are going to turn it on at the right time to sharpen their résumé into something worth selecting, and others will fall by the wayside. Keeping a watchful eye over the nightly results is going to be even more important than before.
We’ll also have to watch out for those sneaky conference tournaments, as some of these projected conference champions will eventually falter, necessitating a replacement in their stead. But that just gives you another excuse to watch more do-or-die basketball—no complaints about that.
